Richard F. Landis, II
About
Richard F. “Rick” Landis, II, is a native of York, Pennsylvania. He earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina in 1970 and went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1973. While in law school, Rick passed the October 1971 CPA examination, reflecting his strong foundation in accounting and finance.
Rick began his legal career in 1973 with the firm of Wallace, Morris, Barwick, Landis & Stroud, P.A. in Kinston, North Carolina, where he practiced for many years before joining Pittman Agner. His practice focuses on estate administration and planning, real estate matters, and business law and transactions.
He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association, including the Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section and the Real Property Section. Although his practice is based primarily in Kinston, Lenoir County, and the surrounding areas, Rick has handled estate matters throughout North Carolina.
Personal
Rick has been an active member of the Lions Club for more than 40 years and has served for over a decade as Chairman of Lions Industries for the Blind, Inc., based in Kinston, North Carolina. He is also a longtime member of the organization’s board.
He is a member of First Presbyterian Church in Kinston, where he has served on the session and as clerk of session. In his free time, Rick enjoys playing golf, swimming for exercise, and spending time at the beach year-round.
